I'm draining all the coolant from the engine. Does anybody know any tricks to remove a stripped drain? It's a 6mm allen. Thx

You could try banging a Torx recess driver bit in there. Just a thought.

Access to an impact type driver? Their repeated blows are REALLY good at stuck fasteners. I have a $30 Harbor Freight electric one for fast wheel changes, and it will also whiz off things like your stuck drain. Order a new plug, and bang an SAE size slightly larger into yours? You can then tighten it in with anti sieze and drive and when the new plug comes in swap it and replace the few ounces of coolant you'll lose.

With the vertical location of the drain, I've also used a bottle jack upwards on friends differential drains to keep the allen wrench from slipping out while I turn the allen tool.

There are some new tools on the market for this. Its like a socket that
has a reverse twist as teeth. Usually sold as a set. These have work
wonders for me with CV bolts that are stripped.
