It sounds like you're jellous that GPA Pete is buying, AND using those parts, rather than letting them Rust In Piece. 8) Personally, I love that he's re-using someone elses junk, rather than buying all of the off shore crap that's out there. I like to call what he's doing "recycling".

I didn't choose the year . :shock:

I found a samba add for a project bug with the chassis already done.. in Tampa ( 20 minutes away )
..I got a professionally restored powder coated pan with the original $3800 receipt
plus a set of fancy wheels and tires for only $1500
The 66 body and the title were bonus ..

Note ; I really am enjoying doing this project and wouldn't be as far along as I am without my Samba friends

The yellow truck joke comes from people who know I drive Yellow Penske trucks around the country and ;
I have been known to show up at out of state VW shows with the BIG truck :shock: :D
