| so im not new to this site but i just created an account and i have no idea if tis is where i post my question or not but my 1967 was running perfectly i recently swaped out a 1200 for a 1600 and replaced my clutch it was running fine then i had to drop it again to replace motor mounts so i just put it in last weekend and now its burning oil and doesnt want to get up to speed when i hit the accelerator ive tried adjusting the distributor but that has not helped it wants to rev up but theres so much backfire its not wanting to also my motor and fanshroud get hot only after i turn off the motor idk plz help |

| Plug wired on the right plugs?Double check use a manual! |

| check the spark plug wires for proper firing order. Just a guess |
