nice rides, what are your plans for the bus?

jlnuna Wed Jan 14, 2004 10:52 am

I plan on puting in a power inverter and turning it into a day camper well like a daycamper it will have a tv/dvd ps2 for the kids it has a z bed in it now which will be coming out because my father and I are going to build a custom L shape couch with a hideaway bed I will add a small microwave so far I have new carpet in it and it already has a shore power plug setup so I will be installing some 110 rv lights and I am building a storage area for the rear of the bus.

But who knows may change mind in the middle of doing it...LOL

71 is IMHO the best year bay.

I can't find a web page but I can give you a few obvious differences.

68 round reflectors, push button door handles, rounded fender beading.
69 round reflectors, pull trigger door handles.
70 square reflectors, 5 wide wheels.
71 square reflectors, disc brake small 5 wheels, sloped fender beading.
72 Early turn signals in the front, later style taillights, early style bumpers, square shaped intakes in the back, front wheel arches have sloped fender beading.
73 If it is a Westy the camper shell opens toward the front.
74 thru 79 ???? I know the gas door went away sometime but I dont know when. SOmeone else can chime in and finish.

I don't pay much attention to buses later than 71.

I'm pretty sure that '74 was the first year that they deleted the gas door? I'm not a late model guy myself.
