| just replaced my altenator for the first time. dont know if i need to keep the same amount of shims??????????? also how tight do i have to make the pulley once i get it on??????????? need help. |

| Take a guess with the shims and tighten the pulley. If it's too tight or too loose make and adjustment and try again. The number of shims will chance when the belts stretches. |
