Have two Dellortos with one suffering mightily from the dreaded "Dellorto Drip." No one in Seattle works on these or rebuilds them. Would have to ship them off to Utah for a rebuild and I can neither afford it nor can I be without a vehicle for that long. So, the next alternative is replacing them with Webbers. Don't need the linkage or the manifolds. Thought I would start here. Anyone have better luck on eBay?

Not interested in EMPI carburetors manufactured in China. I want a genuine European Webber carb.

Have you thought about rebuilding them yourself with the Dellorto "Superformance" book as a guide?

No, never considered this as an option. I'm not a natural gearhead, but maybe more importantly, don't have a shop with all the requisite tools, etc. How much effort and time would it take (aside from buying the tools needed) to do it myself? Have you or someone you know gone this route? How easy was it?

Cannot remember the process, but I think it is a matter of replacing the plug.

Yes, at the very least lead plugs or Loctite. I've seen that first thread. Funny, the guy in the second thread tells you he fixed the problem with a couple of set screws but provides no further details.
