Trying to help out a friend that just bought a 69 fastback. His fuel tank has a crack in it. Do the later 70+ tanks fit or should I just be looking for a 68/69 tank?

Also if anyone has a good used one they would sell near Portland Oregon, please let me know.

'68 is for the most part a one year only tank. Anything from '69 and later should work just fine.

Thanks. Will probably just buy one from ISP and have it shipped.

Filler hole is oval instead of round.

yep, it's the same with Beetles, I guess they realized soon enough that a round hole was cheaper to manufacture
