| I am looking for an AS21 case. My buddy's VW shop has 8-10 engine's sitting fully assembled on pallets, some out of bus's other are not.. maybe type 3?? At any rate does an AS21 always have AS stamped on it?? This case number just had a "21" and was a really flat engine design.. I am only used to seeing my type 1 engine... how can I be certain I am getting an as21?? He told me "just find what you want, I'll strip it down and the block is yours for $250. |

Early AS-21 are the Fuel Injection cases from '75 - later years.
But there are also NEW Brazilian cases now that are AS-21.
On the side will say 'AS 21'. |
