Trying to get brakes lights on my car working. I have power to the bulb but won't light up the bulb, yes the bulbs are new. Anyone have any ideas what's wrong? |

Well, what about the turn signals? If the turn signals flash, then the bulbs are functional - it's the same filament for both functions. (assuming you have normal snowflakes on there)
Could be a flaky brake light switch... did you try bypassing it?

I would think if you have voltage to the bulb, and no light, then your ground is no good. I ran independent ground wires to the body for all my signal/brake and park lights. Otherwise you are relying on a ground path via the fenders and their attaching bolts which seems a very unreliable way to go.
