View original topic: 1967 hazard/emergency flasher switch won't fit through dash?

This is for a '67.

Here's the switch for the emergency flashers:

I'm guessing that this part screws into the switch like this to hold it in place behind the dash but it's too big to fit into the hole in the dash...

Am I doing this right? What's the deal here, how is this supposed to install?

Anyone?

Can you find a part number on the switch?

bicyclemonkey Wed Sep 17, 2014 7:55 pm

I can but my '67 came without the flasher switch. I ordered this one which was labeled as a'67 emergency flasher switch. It's part number 111953235B. From what I can find out, that should be the correct part.

That part number is for a 1968 model (starting in August 1967) year. What you need is 111953235A according to the parts list

Unfortunately the parts list does not tell us much when it comes to differences between the switch but if you look further down on the page it shows that the escutcheon for the 68 model year is M14x1 and the escutcheon for the 67 model year is M12x1. This would explain why it does not fit the hole in your dash.

OK, thanks! It looks like the only 111953235A left on the Interwebs was on Etsy!

It was $10...hopefully it works lol
