| :?: i am new to this vw machanics .!is or was there a 3 speed manuial tran.put in the super beetle? and if so do you know the gear ratio? thank you very much :!: |

| as far as i know theres only been 4 speed manuals, then autostick wich may be 3 spd but i dont know, and full auto wich i have no idea about either |

| The very first prototypes in the 1930s had 4 speeds, and the very last production cars in 2003 had 4 speeds. Every manual trans Beetle built in between had 4 speeds. |

| the auto stick had low, 2nd and 3rd, but they suck so stay far away from them |
