| ok, i got this split tank for sale, but a question got me wondering. this tank has a recessed area around the filler neck, but another member said that it was different from his 51 tank. i thought split tanks were the same except for the small neck zwitter tanks. i know i could be wrong, i haven't seen it all!! any experts out there know? |

Pre-54 ovals tank have the big filler cap. On top around the filler neck there is a "hump" on them.
The split (pre 9/52) tank is exactly the same but without the "hump".
And the Zwitters tank is like the split except for the small filler cap.
