Hi gang,

looking for some tech advice. I've got a 1600DP in my '67 squareback which is stock with the exception of an FI distributor and vintagespeed exhaust system. I'd like to get a wee bit more performance out of it, and figure that since I can put out more air through the larger exhaust, I can take in some more with modified carburetors.

I can upgrade to 28mm or 30mm venturis (up from 24mm) and am looking for suggestions for jetting these larger throats

Below are the stock pieces in parentheses and the available options next to them. Left and right are different on account of the stock oil bath air cleaner.
Main: (132.5, 130 L/R) 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 150, 155, 160, 170, 180, 190
Idle: (50) 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80
Air Correction (150, 120 L/R) 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 140

I'd like to keep the stock air cleaner, but am not against throwing some paper filters on and running symmetrical L/R jetting for ease of tuning.

P.S. I read on CB's website that 1.25 ratio rockers require different pushrod tubes. Is this true? I'd like to add some to complement the fuel and exhaust mods but not if I'd have to switch out the tubes.

THANKS Y'ALL

This is where I ended up with my PDSIT solex 1600cc jetting before I switched to the new 1904cc. This is jetted at 3000ft elevation with the 26mm bus vents.

Thank you! Was this your ideal setup? Also, did you keep the stock oil bath air cleaner?

Yes, stock oil bath
Optimal...hmmm, i can't say, I didn't get to play with it enough.
The 1600cc was just too slow for me, it just wasn't keeping up with traffic around town, so I built the 1904cc to have heat exchangers and HP
