| I got a 1600cc motor out of a 69 bus are the starters different from a bug? Also, will the bug tranny work? I have tried turning it over and it sounds like it's realy straining. The motor has not been ran in a few years. Thanks for any help.[/quote] |

| I think the starters are the same. As far as weather the bug trans will work, im not sure. What are you putting it into? |
