View original topic: 12 Volt Wiper Motors for '66 Model Year 6 Volt S'Back?

I am currently advertising two different Type 3 wiper motors:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1669532
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1646082
I have been contacted by a samba member living in Japan with a '66 model year LHD squareback.
He has asked me if either of these would be suitable to put in his square - which has been converted to 12 volts, but is still running a 6 volt motor, which of course runs too fast.
I've looked via the forum search facility and have come across threads saying that pre '70 12 volt motors will indeed work.
As I don't wish to sell anything unsuited for the task can anyone confirm 100% that the above motors will do the trick?
Also is there anything else the buyer should be aware of in doing this changeover?
Thank you.

Either of the 2 will work, and are basically interchangeable. The 311 955 113B is for 66 and earlier cars, while the 311 955 113C is a 67 only wiper motor. Both are single speed (variable), and can go into a Notch, Fastback, or Squareback.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for that, that's good news.
