Does anybody remember the Monogram car models Zingers?

Lol, the camera's stabilizer filter doesn't know what to do with it. It's an interesting 'homage' to the split, and I'm assuming (praying) no actual bus was harmed in the making. I can at least respect the amount of fab that went into it.

the disappearing mini skateboard wheelie bars are kind of cute- guess this doesn't fall in to the daily driver category?

It was featured in hot vw's, that thing is crazy. Nice woody too.

80 thousand dollars of work and it drives in a small circle and gets parked. He never made it to the beach to surf, lame. I would be happy to test out the skateboard wheelie bars.

Neat. Was a split harmed in the making of that or was it all scratch built?

Anyone have scans of the magazine article?

Pinetops Tue Feb 03, 2015 8:40 am

As far as I remember no buses were used to build it.

Whatda..whatda??? :?

Hot VW said a '65 bus was used for chassis parts and front and rear running gear with custom chassis built.

There were fewer VW parts use on that than on your average Chenowth chassis rail buggy.

That's bad ass- work of art, and no busses sacrificed in it's creation.

Agreed. And the talent involved is outstanding.
