Not sure what you mean by what seal? You mean manufacturer? Or type? |

IIRC, It depends on who built the camper? |

I meant which seal, I've read that the standard middle window seal is the same for a glass window or VW sliding window... its in a 1978 Westfalia Helsinki..
Can anyone confirm this please... |

This one? If so yes. Got mine from Bus Depot. Their site says its the same, so I ordered it, not knowing like you, and its the same. They were a PITMFA to install though. You'll need a buddy. (My buddy is pictured.) |

Huh. I used that same seal on those same windows in my '75 and had no problem putting them in solo... |

To be honest, I had little to no experience installing seals, and...
My old ones had to be chiseled out. They just wouldn't pop on like the flat glass I had done before. It took him pushing and me pulling to get it to drop in. Seals were nice and thick, by far the nicest seals I have ever put in. |

To remove cut seal as indicated and use some lubricant where the seal meats the body.

Here is an Original VW sliding window with the seal that accepts the deluxe chrome trim. The glass is VW, I tried to get a pic of it, but only got my reflection.

The standard middle window seal is the same for a glass window or OEM VW sliding window. I just replaced mine with one from Cip! (C16-221-321C-LR) - it fit perfectly.

My side window on my riviera pops out a little bit from the bus, it's not flush against the middle like your guys, will the seal on the bus depot link provided above fit my sliding windows too? I'm not sure the differences in them (Mine looks like this http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1744403 ) |
