Just a vent here: I have been restoring a 70 bug vert. I bought it thinking it in pretty good shape, body wise. Surprise surprise surprise!

Ok, that's not my problem. It's what was used to hide cover up camouflage rust and rot. I have been removing so much fiberglass, resin, glue, caulk and bondo. I have flat destroyed 2 chisels.

Just seems if that much trouble is put into disguising something why not just fix it. I know someday I'll be the PO and hopefully I'm not doing too bad.

Vent over, carry on.

There are a lot of backyard hacks that do not have a welder to fix rusted metal correctly so they just goop bondo and fiberglass on and hope for the best. Or the world is full of scam artist that do it as cheaply as possible to flip the car and make a fast buck.

Seems to me welding would be cheaper! Bondo and silicon Start adding up!
