I was looking for an answer to the body filler/puty question, and came across the following:
http://www.parasolinc.com/fillers.asp
Anyone ever hear of/use this stuff? I found the following description most interesting:

Body/Metal Filler (ALSI-12)
Incredible filler designed to give strength and structure to areas that are rusted, oxidized, or have large holes or dents in them. It can also be used on galvanized sheet metal and aluminium. Resists high temperatures and can be powder-coated afterwards. Will not shrink or absorb moisture. (Emphasis mine)

I have been in some plants that have used some of those products from Parasol. They do work....but be careful. The MSDS sheets on them are beyond vague. They are very similar to JB weld in nature...so they are largely an epoxy with a huge filling of metal as the aggregate.

The saftey issues are that the only listed ingredient is 16% styrene (liquid styrene) as a solvent/plasticizer....very hazardous....ecause that means it has ethylbenzene or vinylbenzene in it....toxic...mutagenic and suspected carcinogenic.
