I have an orginal 6v horn but want to convert it to 12v horn can it be done? Do you know of anybody that can do that? |

horns will work on 6 or 12 volt , they don't have a filament like a bulb that will burn out with the extra voltage
it will be louder
when it dies get a new 12 volt $14..wolfsburg west

Flash hit it. Many times I would buy a 6v horn to install on a 122v car just to "up the amplification" for my customer here in the Los Angeles traffic area. It is a louder horn. I think you can still get them. Maybe, if you value your original horn then change it.
Be advised that many horn audible concerns are a resistance, or voltage drop, in the ground circuit.

They are adjustable for note too so if your not happy with the sound you can alter it somewhat. |
