I have wanted to run a 2 tip exhaust with straight pipes for a while on my ghia. The stinger is a bit silly (really when working on a hot engine). I wanted to tuck things back a bit and quiten it a little bit (I love a screaming engine). I have only seen one set in real life and since then I have wanted a set.

The Exhaust -

If I can not find a cheap set I plan to try and fab my own set from

one 3 bolt flange, 2 tips, 4 U bend pipes, and some high heat zip ties :)

A crappy one.

lol, what really makes an exhaust better than some other one? If it is about power, how much worse (hp and torque) would it be comparing to some typical quiet pack?

You say "the stinger is a bit silly" yet you want an exhaust set up that essentially has two of them?

Sorry, baffles would be in each "tip". I guess I forgot to say that  . The last few posts seem a bit combative :?

Racking the brain, those mufflers were first made by S&S). S&S went out of business several years ago.

The newer version is

I'd go with this if you like the semi stock appearing two tip set up

I was going to say "shitty" but then I remembered this is the samba where people think a 1641 with Kads and a "dizzy" is considered a performance engine

LOL! . I do not get that either.... What is that combo... 70hp? :) . I was just wanting to know.

And thanks John! Ill look for one (or would you call it a set?) I have a large 3 flange header though so it will take a bit longer. Didn't S&S or Thunderbird make a 3 bolt large flange?

Thunderbird makes big flange headers. I really hate those, they create a massive flat spot in the power curve due to the huge collector.

I like this one, too. Looks good. Wonder how it sounds and what kind of performance loss/gain?

Guarantee a loss of 7-10 hp on the dyno. All four pipes going into a closed chamber, with 1-2 and 3-4 blowing right at each other.
