I located some sweet fuel injection hose clamps. I test fit them to some spare fuel rail and they are perfect. They're stainless steel and made in Sweden and an improvement over the Ideal clamps you can find at the flaps.
I later discovered they are the same clamps that Kenneth Wilford sells in his Vanagon 7x3mm hose clamp kits. He says, "They work the best of any clamps I have used. I have been selling them in kits for over 5 years now".
I bought them from Steve D'Gerolamo . He still has 20 bag of 50 clamps for $50 left and then they are gone. He ships UPS so you may want to ask him to use USPS if the cost bothers you.
Please tell him I referred you. |

| Are these the little clamps needed for all the gas hose connections? |

| Richard - how many do you really need for one bus? I'd be willing to split a bag with 1 or 2 or 3 people but I don't think I need 50. Maybe Steve would ship separately as long as we bought whole bags. |

It depends of how you approach it:
- 20 clamps on the high pressure side of the pump
- 24 clamps if you double clamp the fuel injectors
- 28 if you include the low pressure side
Based on the first two counts a bag of 50 will do two busses.
Because the hose between the filter and pump is a different size (10mm) forget about the 2-4 clamps for that section (count depends on whether or not you have a gas heater) which are not in my totals but I thought I'd mention it.
He sells clamps individually in any count but you lose the discount by not buying in bulk because these clamps are on special and I believe they are going up in price in future. |

I don't need the clamps, but just wanted to mention that I bought parts from Steve a couple of times when I was fixing up BMWs a few years back, and also got great advice from him on a couple of small projects I was working on at that time. He is extremely knowledgable about tools and parts for German cars.
Steve was very helpful and trustworthy, definitely a nice guy to do business with. Just FYI.... |

I got my clamps today UPS when I got home. Very nice. Nice guy also. It is tough for a cheapskate like me to go the big money for even great clamps.
A bus can be good therapy for that, eh? |
