View original topic: What factory Porsche wheels/tire size fit my 73 Kombi

I lowered the front of my van 2inches and want to upgrade the 14inch factory tires and wheels to a Porsche style. Will the 18inch Turbo Twist bolt pattern match and will they fit under without mod or spacers. If not those then how about 944 Fone Dial wheels. Or what else should I hunt down. THANX!!!

Porsche wheels aren't a bolt on. Some mercedes and audi wheels will fit with modification. This has been discussed before in the late bus forum- do a search and see what you come up with.

VW bus small 5 bolt pattern [71 to now] is 5 x 112mm.
No Porsche wheels came in 5 x 112! They were 5 x 130.
Only VW bus, Mercedes, and Audi Turbo came in 5 x 112.
But watch out for the wheel bolt hole size! VW is 14mm. Some
Mercedes and some Audi are 14mm but most are 12mm.
Go here: http://www.tyresave.co.uk/fitment.html
But remember, this site is fom the UK, so you will see vehicles
listed that are not available in the USA.

later passats, I think 98 and newer had a 5 x 112 bolt pattern. You could use adapters if you wanted, watch for offset though.
