I hate to dump this on my first post but I am lost. I am in Dallas and have recently aquired a free Bay window camper. I got this by way of need. I have had to sell almost everything I own, for crappy reasons that have come my way by a bad accountant and our friends at the IRS.
While the bus was in need of some work when I got it, now it needs some serious mechanical work that i do not know or should I say remember how to do. And due to my financial situation I cannot afford to pay someone to repair it for me. So I am wondering if any fellow V-Dub brothers and sisters in and around dallas could lend a hand and a wrench or two. I have a garage and quite a number of tools, a fllor jack and a set of jack stands.
I have owned several bugs many years ago I have seem to lost alot of that knowledge. That or old age is setting in. The list of immediate needs is short, and the pisser of it all is without the bus I cannot do my job, which leads to lack of mooolaaahh. I have not purchased the parts yet, by my old buddy Angel which is now at Foreign Car Parts has most of everything in stock.
Complete front and rear brakes with wheel cylinders.
Carb rebuild
Possible rear axle bearing?
