My scenario is: I had a cracked fuel pump flange. Got some advice and decided to leave it as is after trying to get it out to no avail.
I figured I would let it run with a cracked flange for a while, so after fixing some shifter problems, I started noticing a LOT of gas in the oil and the flange itself leaking underneath the pump. I was able to get the flange out. Well, about half of it - the rest I tried to get out, but ended up breaking of into the case... It isn't in its spot, but actually in the case where I can't see it. any ideas on what to do here? Will the engine just chew it up? Any recommendations would be appreciated so I can get back on the road.
Thanks in advance!

| I had a TINY piece break off and fall down in. I left it and that was 4 months ago. I think it got chewed up. How much went down there? |

| Probably about an inch and a half of the bottom of the flange - some of it disintegrated when I was trying to get it out, so some of it is crumbs now. |
