I have an opportunity to obtain a 72 convert windshied to replace my cracked 68 convert. windshield.

1) Will this work?
2) What year fits what year?

According to the Karmann Ghia P&R catalog the 72 windshield should fit any Ghia after '66 1/2, including yours. In 66 the glass got smaller to accomodate the larger seal.
So, even a larger (older) windshield would fit, as long as you use a different seal (an older seal).
The window opening in the car never changed in size only the seal and window did.

There is no difference between a coupe and convertible windshield. Only the doors!

karmannghia.com sells a 66-74 widshield so it should work. I just installed a new windshield in my 65 ghia vert with cal look rubber. Success!!!!
