i want to paint these smoothies i just bought gloss black. At first i was planning on POR-15ing them but after reading another thread on this page i am reconsidering. i want these smoothies to stay nice for a while and i dont want them to fade. now i am not sure if i should paint, powdercoat or use rust bullet or zero rust instead of POR-15. let me know what you think

I would have them blasted and paint them. The problem with (some) powdercoating is that the creases in the wheel are very tight and sometimes when powdercoating, the powder tends to lay over parts of the crease, and when baked, it bubbles slightly. I'm sure this doesn't happen to everyones wheels but in my experience, has happen. Good luck.

yeah paint is the easiest but i think powedercoating is the best way to go. Just find yourself someone who really knows what they are doin and you will be fine with the "crease" area. I had mine done and i used a bit of clear for the crease to prevent any rust in that area also.
