| OK does a 69 Westy normally have a luggage rack seal. I'm new to Westy ownership and I am replacing rubber seals. I ordered pop top seals and doors seals from a vendor who had generic directions in the package. The contents stated 4 pieces 2 door seals, poptop seal & luggage rack seal. I proceeded to remove the luggage rack only to determine the seal was not in package. Thought maybe the long rolled up seal was part of the luggage rack seal but only enough for the pop top:? Some vendors state no seal was included on 69, some sell them. If I need a seal I'll be at my home in Redding (walking distance to Bus Boys) next week and I can pickup a seal along with my other stuff I'm getting from them before I head back down here to the desert. Thanks. |

When I got my '69 Westy both seals were gone and I put one on the luggage rack part. I do not know why it would not have one. The manual talks like there is one there. This is a picture of a '72 but it is the same pop-top setup as the '69 I believe and it clearly shows the seal.

Regardless of whether or not it came with one, mine looks much better now with the seal. |
