What's your favorite tool? I have this hemostat that I seem to put to a lot of good use.

The one that fits properly, with what ever it is when I need it. Like a length of bailing wire has been used for a tool by me, simple and effective.

my favorite tool is my brain. you can have the most expensive tools, if you dont know how to use them, there useless.

The most useful tool I own is the reversible screwdriver that came in the factory toolkit. For a cheap throw away that thing is just about the only screwdriver you ever need, it is almost indestructible, and fits almost every screw on a VW.

As I mostly work on smaller-scale VWs, I'd have to say........ Dremel. 8)

hammer. Doesn't fix anything but it sure makes me feel better at times.

I've actually gotten a lot of good use out of a $1 screwdriver my dad found on his way home one day with 8 interchangable bits and a magnetic extension. I use it all the time.

Pair of Vise-Grips I found in the dirt when I was playing with my army men about 22 years ago!

NorCalRiviera Sat Feb 21, 2004 6:22 pm

I actually found a pair of vise-grips on the clutch cable of a bug I bought many years ago.
