| i recently crashed my bug into the back of a pickup truck on an icy road.. as in i clipped the back end and the bumper grabbed the headlight ripped my fender off.. so i find myself a fender.. off of a 72 super beetle.. when i origionally had "NOS" fenders all the way arround.. the fender off of the 72 super beetle is origional, had a couple dents but was an easy fix.. so i bolt it up and notice my tire seems to be sticking out alot.. so i give it a good look from the front and notice they are different widths.. the NOS fender seems to be about an inch or so wider than the 72 fender.. given that my tire will fit under it and sticks out on the other side.. is this possibly due to my crashing into the truck or what? or is there a difference between the 71,72 and later years? i like the wider ones much better.. |

| It shouldn't be any wider because those 2 years are very similar, but I could be mistake. If you have an extra hood for a 71 or 72 super i would be very interested because I need one badly. |
