I just finished restoring my ice box [71], however I have a couple problems.

- I do not have the water tank cap and tube.. where can i get this and how does it look like?

-I do not have the ice tray tube. Can't seem to find anything that fits in the bottom of the tray. Also, I would like to know where i can get this from and how it looks like.

-I do not have the faucet drain tube. I have the long black tube and the other coupler from the sink but there is another tube that connects at the bottom [where it drains]. How does this look like and where can i get it from?

-The ice tank drains at the bottom also. I am missing that tube and have not clue how it looks like. Where can i get a replica from?

-Also at the bottom of the ice box [base] can someone take a picture of that.. i need to cut it so the tube will fit underneath the car.

Basically, I need someone nice enought to take pictures of their ice box in detail including all the tubing and what not, so i can get the corrent tubes to make my ice box work....sizes for the tubes would help also.

-Thanks so much

I may have your ice rack and I do have the drain tray. The tray has the drain tube on it.
I do not have an early bus to take pics of. Sorry. But the drain tube just goes thru a hole in the floor directly below the hole in the bottom of the ice box. Is your hole in the bottom or in the back wall? 68-69 were in the bottom, 70+ were in the back wall. Tell me about the section between the counter top and the ice box door. Do you have one door? Or a door and a drawer to the right of it? If you have a door and a drawer, you have a early box. If this is the case, I do not have the tray and rack. They are a totally different size, length and width.

The water fill tube is about 5" long, threaded on the top and barbed on the bottom. I have one. The cap is the same from 68 to 79 except for the color. Early was grey, late is white. I don't think I have anymore caps...

Karl,

I have the ice tray, i know there is a tube that goes down from the bottom of it and I have that, however it looks as if it screws to something underneath it. Also what is the ice rack?????

Can you take a picture of the threaded ice tank cover and the tube for it?
I have a 71 ice box and it has a drawer and a ice box [late models] so all you stuff would be compatible with mine. If you can take some pics of the top and bottom ending on the ice box, that would be great. How does the main sink drain to the ground. I mean i have the huge black tube however it does not have an ending???? So I am confused.

- Thanks

christian,
If you need the odd bolts/hardware to mount it to the wall, I have all that that I pulled off a junked donor unit. I can also take pics of all the parts as I have a spare complete unit right now. Give me a few hours to get home and i'll snap some pics.

Allright I makeshift put the one together at the garage door hopefully this will help you out.

looking at the back of the one you have it looks like maybe someone cut the sink draintube off so you are gonna need to hit the hardware store as it usually comes down a few inches (to go through the floor and them makes a 90 degree over to the drivers side where the outlet cap is.

Also mine will look a little different as the tube you have for the fill pump looks like its for the one with the outlet at the bottom side of the holding tank instead of this one where it just has a hole in the top of it where the tube goes to the bottom inside . Both tanks are the same though (I have the bottom outlet one installed in my camper).

I also loosely stuck the fill tube on there, when I spoke with the guys at G0Westy! the other day they really didn't have any ideas as to what would work for replacement other than heading to hardware and makeing something work out of PVC its just a thin tube that slips into the top of the tank.

I also added a pic of what I have for ice tray and drip pan (wharts left of it) The tube is just a flexible tubing that on this one is siliconed to it and them just exits out the hole under the bus. Hope some of this helps my camerea takes a lousy shot and its gettin dark here.

mdetro4660,

Thanks for helping me out....however i need more upclose shots like that of the filler cap, the sink tube, and bottom of the tank itself.

The ice tray has THREADED tube from the bottom of it...what fits in that??

Also, where does the drain tube go at the drivers side? What does it connect to?
THanks again.
