View original topic: What is the coolest gift under $100
Hnoroian Sat Oct 03, 2015 4:25 pm

Yes I know it's early but family keeps asking me what do I want for Christmas and birthday. I usually say gift cards because I don't really know what I want or need for the next project coming up...

What are some of the most loved items that you have received or even purchased that you have sub $100?

If there is any place I'd get advice it would be here. I have all kinds of hobbies nothing is out of the ball park. I know I'm going to get desperate thinking of things

SAMBATARIANS HELP PLEASE!!!

I'm not a big book reader but I do like old VW literature.

If you are a VW fanatic and like doing the work on them then a torque meister tool is something nice to have.

Some ideas both VW and non VW related. Some are a bit random.

A good read:

Everybody needs a cap they can get greasy. I put mine on (like Mr. Rogers shoes) when I go out to the shop:

It will change your life:

Dealer plate surrounds usually run about $100:

It's nice to have nice things. I use these at work and at the shop. I fancy myself a safety glass expert and these are THE best I've ever owned:

Do you already own a set of these?:

This is a nice one to have if you tinker on the engine enough:

I don't know why, but this one maintains high rotation in my closet:

I got one of these for Christmas last year. It's made from 1970's NOS VW upholstery. It's one of my favorite things. These guys make all sorts of things from upholstery of various vintage cars, and not just VWs. But who cares about a passport holder made from 1960's GMC bench seat materials? Umm, actually.... ;-)

Great ideas coming in. I have most tools or access to them but always like new ones, and love the literature and documentary stuff.

Really digging the wallet, and might have to order some for a friend too that's pretty awesome.

If you already have the basic coverage, the upgrade to the RV plus covers a 100 mile tow as well as motorcycles.
