I live in Kentucky. I'ts about 55 degrees outside and I have no paint booth. The car is nearly down to bare metal, and I'm working on the little dents. Soon I want to shoot it with some PPG epoxy (DP) and cover that right a way with K36.
How warm does it have to be outside for the primers to "dry" and stick?
Or do I have to weat up my garage and do it in there? I'd rather do it outside because of the fumes.
Thanks |

Inside/outside, wear a respriator. Those fumes can cause mess you up somethin terrible. |

| Aloha you say that you are at 55 degrees. Then guest what? At that temperature the cross linking of isocyanates stops and the paint will not cure. So if you are spraying paint with a hardner in it theres no curing taking place. Even if it was sprayed, and then thinking that by heating it up later that there will be curing, not so. Its best sprayed in a controled environment at that temperature. |
