| My official vw service manual says that in order to remove doors a special door pin removal tool should be used.I called a couple of vw parts places and they did not know anything about this tool.I would appreciate comments on best way to remove pins.Thanks--- |

ehh just a warning dont' try to punch the hinge pins out..you'l never get them back in.
take the whole hinges off.
to do this remove the little plastic caps on the door post up front ..there are two screws for each hinge
using an hand impact screwdriver (like 8 bucks at autozone) set the bit in there and smack it good a couple of times. this loostens up the the screws and out the come..takes the doors off nice and easy
no bent up hinges involved.

| The easiest way to remove anything from the Super is a oxy/acet torch! I have two (71&72) and that thing works like a dream :D |
