I called a local windshield place today that I believe to be a chain. IT is called "Glass Masters". I was just curious about getting the front seal replaced. The guy said he would put a new windshield in and a new seal in for 140.00. It would be guaranteed not to leak forever. I thought this was a great deal. He even said he would come to me, I wouldnt even have to go to the shop. Anyway I thought I would pass this along, it may be helpful to someone.

Are you sure it's not a lifetime guarantee (as long you own the car: the lifetime of the ownership)?
One of the joys of having the glass dude drive to your house is that if he breaks the windshield using a crummy fit seal it's not your problem and he gets to do it over again. |

Hiya Fly,
Were it me, I'll tell you what I'd do.............(for the reason Richard just gave).
I'd have your window guy come out and do the window and installation with MY seal. Many of the seals these guys get their hands on will seal the window but they will barely cover (or won't at all) the headliner and the rest of the stuff on the inside. In other words they are skinny on the inside. Very typical of cheap seals.
And I'd get my seal from Wolfsburg West.
