Jake: The "violent" oil cooling you refered to in the last post, is that the metal piece that is attached behind the fan that is curved as to direct air into the oil cooler air intake slot?
A have one of each type of fan house, and want to select the one that gives me more air to the heads, at epense of air to the oil cooler, as I plan on a fan driven external cooler in addition to stock oil cooler.

You are correct... I cannot make a recommendation for you without putting myself in a bad position and becoming a responsible party in an engine faiilure..
Just wait till the Ultra VW stories come out. Look at each shroud and apply some logic |
