What's the best way to shine og chrome bumpers? Mine are in decent shape, no major rust or pits, but I'd like to get them as shiny as possible. I've tried Mother's polish and it works ok but not great. I've heard about using 000 or 0000 steel wool and was wondering about how to use this (by hand/polisher).
Thanks for any help. |

I use #0000 on all chrome parts to remove small surface imperfections and polish it up.
I follow up with a liquid chrome polish.
For nasty hubcaps, I start with #000 first.
All by hand.
Check it:

| That's amazing! How long does it take to do that by hand? |

| Where the heck do you get 000 or 0000? Bare with me, not much of a "do it yourselfer". |

The hardware store is the best place for steel wool.
That hubcap only took a couple minutes. It's sort of an illusion because it was actually really nice, just dirty with minor surface rust. |
