a few questions....

where would one park and sleep the night before (sub-question, are there any bars within walking distance of where this might be?)

it'd be cool if the lot were open for camping the night before... is this a possibility?

what time does the show officially "start"?

vwjosh6070 Tue Mar 02, 2004 11:13 am

Well..There are a ton of Hotels in this area, However hotels suck and I had planned to offer to let some folks crash at my place on friday. I have a spare room and a bunch of floors to crash on plus if someone just wanted to sleep in their bus I have enough front, back and side yard to fit 15 or so busses. I am sure my wife wont mind as long as we leave her a parking spot.
Bars.. well not within walking distance of my house but there is a liquor store down the road. and there are alot of places to eat. I live in Concord, about half and hour drive from the bus show, and we have a ton of stuff here, Concord Mills mall, alot of resturaunts like Chilis, Ruby Tuesdays etc. there is an upscale Biker bar ,Iron thunder saloon, near the Harley dealership, Mabey we could "invade" the biker bar with our Busses. :)

i doubt seriously they will let anyone do that, they lock the place up at night.

The dealer opens its gates at 9am . i was thinking about having official start time at 10am. That will give me enough time to run the caution tape to keep the busses in and the stray water pumper out, as well as set up anything else. If anyone arrives earlier than 10am then that is great, the more the merrier.
