| :( Can over torqueing the crankshaft pulley nut damage the oil slinger? If so, what is the cure? |

why do you think the slinger is damaged?
oil leaking around the front pulley?
that could be several things from a worn out "snout" on the case to poorly machined oil grooves in a cheapo aftermarket pulley, to poor crankcase venting/ blowby/ engine overfull...
usually over tightening of the crank pulley nut causes stripped nut and or crank threads. |
