Have seen some real poor window rubber lately!! Why even bother makin the stuff if the guy with the scissors cant even trim it straight!
Who makes the best window rubber..OEveedub?...WCM?...CIP1??
What im lookin for is nice detail in the outside contour and NO big fat ugly seam!! This is for a 75std w/o moldings. Bill |

| They keep making it because people who think they're going to save a buck keep buying it! I've used WCM's seals and they have held up well. The few CPI seals that I have used (turn signal seals) have started to drip black crud when I wash the car...yuck |

Yeah, I have been watchin the local shop work on a nice bug and all. Watchin all the work and rusted panels being replaced and the door window rubber being put in, ready for paint. I go back next week to see how cool it looks painted and the windows are in and they look like crap!! I ask the guy tell me where you got the window rubber cause I dont want to get any thing from those guys, thats just plain crap!! Guess if you spend the big bucks for the work dont scrimp on the little stuff (cheap).
I want mine to look like the origional rubber, nice and thin with a good contour on the outside and none of the big seams where the mold is put together. Any good ideas cause its only money!! Bill |

WCM used to meet your description of what you want...not sure about now as I have not bought from them for awhile ( I had to buy so much for the "buy in" It lasted me a long time!) Oeveedub has some good stuff so have heard... several people I know have been dealing with Richard and are very happy with what they have recieved.
I hate that too, someone does a great job on the body and paint and then use Mr. Bug/ Empi total crap seals! |

| My vote is for Wolfsburg West. I just installed a front windshield seal with chrome trim from them, and it looks great. I have also used their seals for lots of other stuff. It's very nice quality. |

yeah wolfsberg seals are cool but they only offer the ones with the moulding in them. I still want the plain black ones. Only wish I could find some for the doors that dont have the moulding on them. Sure you can black them out like the Mex bugs, but that always comes off sooner or later.
You know its up to WCM and OEveedub!!!
Which is more like the OE ones??
Nice and slim and clean..... |
