I have a Kadron that will not pump from the tube. Air goes through put no fuel. Is there a way to take out the helicoil next to the main jet? Also how does that circuit work? Any help is apreciated.

Have your carbs been sitting for a while? I had a similar problem and It had nothing to do with the pump, it was with a check ball the was stuck from corrosion in the fuel from the motor sitting for four months.

Savedone, I take a large center punch, tighten it in the vice pointing up and set the carb down on it with the punch going through one of the mounting holes in the carb, it suspends the carb so the accel pump rod is clear of the bench for adjustment. With the top off the carb and the bowl filled above the accel pump pickup (brass insert about half way up the inside of the bowl to the left of the main jet) the fuel should drain down to the level of the pickup with the accel pump off the carb (that verifies the pump supply is clear). Put the pump cover on with the spring against the carb body, piston part of the rubber diaphram facing outward toward the accel pump cover. Disconnect the rod from the accel pump and work the pump arm with the bowl filled back up. Does it squirt? If not than the outlet is clogged or the diaphram is shot or incorrectly installed. It should squirt on the outward stroke. Hope that helps. I set mine up to squirt untill the throttle reaches about the 2/3 point which seems to work pretty good.
