I just took off my rear drums and the shoes are soaked with brake fluid. They have no wear though. Can they be cleaned and reused or should I just chuck them?

Brake fluid won't harm the drums. Go to your FLAPS and look for something called "Brake Kleen". It's used for removing grease, finger oils, and other crud from brake drums and rotors. Use it in a well ventilated area as the main ingredient is ether, and that shit stinks.

Thanks for the info. I'll clean my drums and get new shoes. Also, I think the transaxle is leaking oil on the brakes. I guess I'll be replacing the seals too.

I mis-read your post, but you're on the right track. Chuck the shoes. Oil soaked shoes are damaged and no good. As long as everything is apart it would make sense to replace the axle seals. Save aggrevation in the long run.

If you don't plan to upgrade the brakes, I've got skinny brake shoes you need. Never been mounted. I'd let you have 'em for cheap.
