| Can anyone tell me if it is of any benefit to fit a Weber carb, off of another car of the same capacity engine. As webers are fitted to many production cars in Europe and are plentiful in breakers yards. :? |

| Air Cooled Motors require different jetting the Water cooled cars and if Cam, Compression or design of Moter is different the jetting will not be the same, the only thing is the size of the carb might be about the correct size for the type of driving the Doner car was used for. | You can contact them but how much Help you get is questionable. The tech dept. at one time was very good but the Last time I contacted them I got a new guy that thought one jetting fits all answer and a real Smart-_ _ _ responce. He wanted me to think all IDF Webers should be jetted the same no matter what size motor they were on. Knew very little about jetting or he was just having a Very, Very bad day. Vic. |

Try somewhere like southern carburettors for replacement jets, I think they carry most parts there. If not they will definately be able to put you in touch with somwhere that does.
Also dont forget that you'll need a down-draught type of carb and not side-draught. I have a feeleing a lot of the cars you mention run with side-draught units. |
