Ok everyone, I checked the shocks sticky thread, did a search for bump stops, and still found nothing that was of use to me so I figured I'd start another thread.
So here goes, my project is a 2 seater manx clone and I need to look into installing a set of bumpstops to limit cv angle in the rear and bottom out in the front. I see there are a few options from urethane pads all the way to various shock style bumpstops. I'd like to run the Fox 2.0 shock bumpstops but the things I need to know are:
When are they needed (would I benefit from them)? I plan to play in the dunes mostly
How do I set them up properly?
What length stroke do I need? They range from 2" to 4"
Car specs:
Currently running:
Rear suspension
Fox 2.0 14" c/o
3x3 arms (will move up to 5x5's in the future with 16" c/o's)
930 CV's
Jamar Pro X microstubs
cycling @ 14" of travel
Front suspension
Fox 2.0 10" c/o
6in wider beam
4x2 arms
Combo spindles
Jamar brakes
cycling @ 16" of travel
Any help would be greatly appreciated
