My 67 bug is at the body shop ready for painting but I need advice please. The car will be painted its original color, Java Green; color code (L518). Of all the pictures I have seen of Java green bugs, there seems to be variation in color. I sure that quality of paint and lighting impact the image. Is there a preferred manufacture of paint, i.e., PPG that gets the closest to the original paint? The body shop says it has found three types of Java green for a 67 bug. I believe the paint code for PPG’s version of L518 is 43318, but I’m not sure. I'm posting this in the body paint forum as well in case I'm asking in the wrong place.
