| Who has installed power brakes and power steering on there baja bugs? What brand or type did you use and how well do they perform? Thanks for any info you can provide. |

Here are some pics of a junk yard EPS power steering i did. it comes out of a Saturn Vue {there are others} you will also need the e-bay controller was pretty easy helped alot and very happy with it. Just make sure you use good steering u joints like Sweet mfg not empi/latest rage they will have a lot of play in them. This made steering a one handed deal even in the ruts or going slow from lock to lock. The pic is during install it is all cleaned up now and looks like it belongs there. need to get some recent pictures

I got my kit from this guy (link). You can do it cheaper but it will take a lot more work.

Can this be used to turn the stock VW box or does a rack have to be fabbed up to fit?
I think I might get around to trying this if I didn't have to re-engineer my steering completely. |
