Randy Pollock (recently passed)... had a VW salvage yard & his son (Paige) had to take on the duty of dealing with it. It's an overwhelming experience & hard enough to grieve in the months after a parent passes. Paige has been wading through it, trying to do justice to what his father had devoted many years putting together.

Paige had set aside some items to be sorted later... family items (unique toys, special VW items, VW memorabilia, cast toys, license plates, etc...

He was setting this aside as he came to it in the salvage yard... in one of those transportable PODS. Someone decided he didn't need to take the time to sort through his father's belongings... or just to grieve properly... and hopped the fence in the salvage yard... cut the lock... and stole numerous black tote bins out of the POD.

This all happened this past Monday, Feb. 15th.

If you know of someone that "came across" a stash of cool old VW stuff (NOS & misc.), die cast toys, old Hot Wheels, vintage luggage, etc... please contact Everett.

Randy was a legend in our community... and this kind of shit shouldn't slip through the cracks.

Please keep your ear to the ground... eye out at the swap... etc.
Your confidence / confidentiality will be maintained.

I'll even offer a $1,000 reward to something that either leads to returning of the items... or a conviction. Not interested in one more than the other... just what's right. If you're the one who took it... I suggest you contact Everett promptly... to collect your "no questions asked" reward.

Wish we could pass a law to cut off thieves fingers, so they aren't sticky anymore.

Whom ever the thieves may be, lets hope the police find them before we do.

Sadly, but It was probably other family members, friends or employees.

It wasn't a family member, highly doubt it was a friend (and if it was... not the kind of friend to have), and there aren't any typical (paid) employees.

Sheriff said he's even heard of POD drop off guys (or their close friends) get busted.... because they drop a POD off somewhere where they suspect cool stuff will go into it... & just come back a few days later when they suspect goods have been stored.

Hi. So, where was this stuff stolen from? San Diego County? I will tell you, if in Calif, a location and an incident report number or DR # will help with reporting possible finding/info on stolen car parts.
Hope this helps, Bill.

Law enforcement has been contacted.
