I just read VW Fact #481 from this web site.
Quote: VW Fact #481: In July 1965, Volkswagenwerk's factories in Hanover, Brunswick, Kassel, and Emden shut down so their 45,000 employees could take their annual three-week paid vacations.
How long would the vacation be for Wolfsburg Employees in 1965?
Which German factories produced the Beetle for the 1965 and 1966 model years? |

I don't know, I think it's more surprising to some that Europeans in general enjoy far better pay and benefits than American workers. Imagine taking several weeks off on holiday with pay. |
