Is there any advantage to one over the other? For example, here's a divided header system:

Shouldn't a divided header system produce slight more power than a merged system?

| the merged part in a 4 into one helps back presure and scavaging on the exhaust strokes, keeping the engine balanced. Most devided exhaust make the engine run out of balance. |
