| ok, i have a 4 speed tranny with reverse to the right instead of the left. I am using a hurst shifter and I was wondering if anyone would know what VWs came with reverse down and to the right or is it just how the shifter is? |

The design of the Type 1 tranny has reverse down on the left. There's no way a rebuild could switch it.
Is it a Type 1 tranny or maybe a Porsche? |

| i don't think its a type one, it is in a baja, so i don't know exactly what it is, i bought the car like that. |

| unfortunately nothing, but it looks almost exactly like a regular beetle tranny cuz its not boxy looking like a bus tranny or anything. |
